CBI’s dollar sales drop on Wed

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Demand for the dollar was lower in the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) auction on Wednesday, reaching $ 132.780 million versus $ 150.250 million during the previous session.

"The demand hit $ 15 million in cash, covered by the bank at a rate of 1,183 Iraqi dinars and $ 117.780 million in foreign transfers outside the country, covered at a rate of 1,173 Iraqi dinars per dollar "according to a press release received by CBI Bulletin Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
None of the 14 banks participating in today's session offered to sell dollars.
The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday.
